IUL insurance has cost-of-insurance charges, other policy fees, and crediting rules that may include caps, floors and participation rates. Charges can reduce policy values even when index credits are 0%. Loans and withdrawals can reduce benefits and increase lapse and tax risks. This demo does not model any of these features.
